Brighter Days is a Chrome extension that helps people approach websites deliberately through reflection prompts, offline alternatives, preparation actions, and timed browsing sessions. This policy explains what information the extension processes and how that information is handled.
Brighter Days works locally in your browser. It has no user accounts, developer-operated backend, advertising, analytics, or external API integration. Information entered into or generated by the extension is not transmitted to the developer or sold or shared with third parties.
Brighter Days processes the minimum information needed to provide its features:
Brighter Days does not create a separate browsing-history log. It does not read page body content, passwords, authentication credentials, payment information, or information entered into ordinary websites.
The extension uses this information only to:
The information is not used for advertising, profiling, productivity scoring, credit decisions, or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Brighter Days uses Chrome extension storage on your device:
Brighter Days does not provide a single in-extension control that clears every stored record. You can edit the website lists from the extension popup. Removing the extension from Chrome removes its extension storage.
Brighter Days does not transmit extension data to the developer or third-party servers. It does not sell, rent, license, or otherwise disclose extension data to third parties. Because no extension data is sent off your device, the extension does not perform international data transfers.
Brighter Days requests these permissions:
All executable code is packaged with the extension. Brighter Days does not load remote code. Local extension storage is restricted to trusted extension contexts where Chrome supports that protection. No method of local storage is completely immune to access by someone who controls your browser profile or device, so avoid entering highly sensitive information into free-text fields.
Brighter Days does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else because extension data is not transmitted to the developer. Any information entered into the extension remains under the control of the browser profile and device owner.
This policy may be updated if Brighter Days changes how it processes information. The effective date and last-updated date at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are made.
